گلاب ولو از سری شیرهای خطی است که برای قطع و وصل، راه اندازی و تنظیم جریان سیال به کار می رود. در این مقاله به بررسی ساختار گلاب ولو، کاربرد، مزایا و معایب آن میپردازیم.
در ساختار گلاب ولو یک دیسک در نظر گرفته شده است. دیسک می تواند به طور کامل از مسیر عبور سیال کنار برود یا اینکه مسیر عبور سیال را کامل ببندد.
از گلوب ولو می توان برای جداسازی یا تخلیه نیز استفاده کرد.
گلوب ولو در مقایسه با گیت ولو، پلاگ ولو، بال ولو … افت فشار بالاتری در سیال ایجاد می کنند. در مواردی که افت فشار در سیال از فاکتورهای تعیین کننده نیست، می توان از گلوب ولو استفاده کرد.
تمام فشار وارد شده به دیسک شیر منتقل می شود، سپس به شفت شیر انتقال می یابد، بنابراین در طراحی این مدل شیر محدودیت داریم . با توجه به موارد گفته شده اندازه شیر نهایتا (NPS 12 (DN 300 می تواند باشد. گلاب ولوهایی با اندازه بزرگ معمولا استثنا هستند.
اگر شیر در اندازه گفته شده طراحی نشوند به نیروی عظیمی برای باز و بسته کردن شیر نیاز داریم.
گلوب ولوهایی تا اندازه های (NPS 48 (DN 1200 طراحی و نصب شده اند.
گلوب ولو به طور گسترده برای کنترل جریان استفاده می شوند. برای اطمینان از عملکرد شیر باید محدوده کنترل جریان، افت فشار و عملکرد شیر را در نظر گرفت.
اختلاف فشار وارد شده نباید از 20 درصد حداکثر فشار کاری شیر بالاتر باشد.

گلاب ولو T شکل یا TEE PATTERN GLOBE VALVE
رایج ترین مدل گلوب ولو در صنعت T شکل است. تنظیمات افقی سیت، امکان قرار گرفتن میله به صورت عمود بر روی دیسک در راستای خط افق را فراهم می کند.
این مدل طراحی کمترین ضریب جریان و افت فشار بالاتری دارد. از این مدل طراحی معمولا برای کاربردهایی که افت فشار مهم نیست استفاده می کنیم

گلاب ولو زاویه ای یا ANGLE PATTERN GLOBE VALVES DESIGN
در این مدل دریچه خروجی دارای زاویه 90 درجه نسبت به دریچه ورودی است و سیال با یک زاویه 90 درجه میچرخد. این مدل نسبت به مدل قبلی ضریب کمتری دارد. از این مدل عموما برای کاربردهایی استفاده میشود که جریان سیال به صورت دوره ای یا پالسی از شیر عبور می کنند.
